Further education represents a heterogenous part of the educational system. The target groups it covers are
characterized by entirely different features. As to the institutional background, it may take place both in purely
educational institutions and within entities having education as their only economic activity. The Czech Republic is
currently seeking to set a further education framework in order to open education to all applicants and support a
higher participation of the population in further education.
