Minister Liška opened the exhibition about the technologies of the future

Minister Ondřej Liška today opened the First European Future Technology Conference called "Science beyond Fiction" which takes place in Prague on April 21-23. The event is accompanied by an interactive exhibition that introduces the possibilities of nowadays science.

Minister Ondřej Liška and Rudolf Strohmeier from the European Commission opened the exhibition about the technologies of the future.

Czech Minister of Education, Youth and Sport Ondřej Liška today opened the First European Future Technology Conference in Prague, in the company of Rudolf Strohmeier, Head of Cabinet of Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Information Society and Media.

In his opening statement, the minister highlighted the importance of exploratory research for Europe’s Future, and especially the role of the Future and Emerging Technologies Scheme as a pathfinder for new ideas.

A pan-European exhibition of technology demonstrators with a prominent presence of Czech stands was also opened by Minister Liška and Mister Strohmeier. “This exhibition and event represent some of the most exciting ideas for the future of European research, and we are proud to host this event under the Czech Presidency of the European Union”, the minister was quoted as saying.
