Introductory Courses for Refugees and Persons Using Subsidiary Protection

Within the fulfilment of the Conception of Integrating Aliens on the Territory of the CR, the MEYS provides instruction in the Czech language, instruction of the social-legal minima and instruction in geographical realia to refugees and persons using subsidiary protection free of charge on the basis of:    
  • Section 70 of Act No. 325/199 Coll., on Asylum and on Amendments to Act No. 283/1991 Coll., On the Police of the Czech Republic, as subsequently amended (Asylum Act);
  • Czech Government Resolution No. 543 of 14th May 2008 on Ensuring the Integration of Refugees and Persons Using Subsidiary Protection in the area of providing instruction in the Czech language free of charge;
  • Directive of the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports (Ref. No.: 21 153/2000-35) of 12th June 2000 on the provision of courses in the Czech Language for refugees;
  • the results of the public tender for the provider of courses in the Czech Language for refugees, which took place at the MEYS on 25th November 2006 (Ref. No.: 29 689/06-25), on the basis of which a Contract on Ensuring Free Courses in the Czech Language for Refugees and Persons Using Subsidiary Protection was concluded with the selected organisation, which is SOZE, Sdružení občanů zabývající se emigranty (Society of Citizens Assisting Emigrants), Mostecká 5, Brno, 614 00.

The financial means for the implementation of the instruction of refugees and persons using subsidiary protection are appropriated by relevant government resolutions from the state budget.
