The informal meeting of Ministers for Competitiveness will address two areas concerning the implementation of the
European Research Area Vision 2020 (ERA). During the morning session the Ministers will discuss the possibilities of
improving the relations between the three sides of the knowledge triangle - education, research and innovation - on a
political level. In the afternoon the Ministers will deal with the development of human resources in research, which
is a basic precondition for making the ERA work.
